What To Expect During, And After, A Body Code Healing?

I do my healing work from a distance, known as “distance healing” or “remote healing”. I encourage clients to “tune in” and meditate during the healing session and even make notes about what they experience; Depending on one’s sensitivity, some people may feel strong energies around them, see imagery or colours in their minds’ eye, or even have a strong emotional release, among other things.

Some individuals may experience profound changes after their first session, feeling lighter and more energetic. However, the opposite can also be true. Healing isn’t always “rainbows and butterflies” as I like to say. Oftentimes, we have to experience challenging emotions or energies as they leave the body.

I am very cautious to not clear too much from an individual in one session, as I personally know what it feels like when I’ve cleared too much from myself. I am very gentle with my clients to minimize any potential discomfort from a healing. I have also noticed that the more healing sessions I do with a client, the more they can handle.

It takes great courage to progress along one’s Healing Journey. The process can sometimes be uncomfortable, but the results can be extraordinary! The process can be compared to working out at the gym. When someone lifts weights at the gym it creates little “micro-tears” in the muscle tissue which then heal and, over time, cause the muscles to get bigger. The days after an intense workout can be uncomfortable due to soreness in the muscles, but it’s a good soreness that lets you know the workout is providing results.

In regards to healing, let’s say I clear a trapped emotion of sadness from a client. At some point, the client experienced an emotion of sadness that was so intense that he or she, unconsciously, buried it deep into their subconscious mind.

This process is somewhat of a protective response to bury strong emotions that are too difficult to process in the present moment. Ideally, a suppressed emotion will surface naturally, later in life, to be processed and released when the individual has the strength and capacity to do so.

However, it can be difficult to process some emotions by oneself and many people will do anything to prevent those uncomfortable emotions from surfacing, leading to addictive tendencies. I believe that a lot of the mental health and addiction issues in society today are due to unprocessed emotions and trauma.

The beautiful thing about the Emotion Code and Body Code is that we can gently clear these intense emotions (and traumas). In the example above, if we clear the emotion of sadness, the client may cry as he or she feels the emotion again as it’s cleared. It may be uncomfortable at first, but the more baggage we clear, the lighter we feel!

Overall, after a healing, it’s not uncommon to experience some ups and downs, because once the underlying blockages and imbalances are corrected the body is able to restart its own innate healing processes. It’s good to be aware that after a healing the body may go through a purification process.

For example, if we clear toxins or remove blockages that are preventing toxins from flushing out of the body then the body may clear the toxins through sweat, urination, or excrement.

After working on someone they may start to feel fantastic for a few days but then some symptoms may come back. I always use the example of taking two steps forward, and one step back. We get a glimpse of what life can be like but then we realize there is more to clear or heal. It’s like peeling the layers of an onion. The subconscious mind gives you micro-glimpses of your potential future showing you what’s possible and that you are on the right track!

After a healing, it will take some time to process, integrate, and purify. I am very careful to not clear too much, as it can be very uncomfortable for days afterwards. During this period, I encourage clients to nourish their mind, body, and spirit with quality foods, light exercise, extra sleep if necessary and, of course, drink lots of water. If uncomfortable emotions do surface, deep belly breathing can be very helpful in allowing the emotions clear, rather than trying to push them back down.
