What Is An Energy Cord?

An energy cord is an invisible strand of energy that connect people to other people, places, or things. Energy cords are invisible to the physical eyes but some can see them with their “3rd Eye”, therefore, these cords are not at the conscious level, but rather the subconscious level.

There exist both positive and negative energy cords. Positive energy cords are most often connected from heart chakra to heart chakra between two people that love each other; for example, this could be with an intimate partner, family, friends, or anyone you feel a deep and positive connection with. These types of energy cords are two-way cords allowing for positive energy to flow back and forth between the two individuals.

While positive energy cords are based on love, negative energy cords are created out of attachment. These cords are most often created at an unconscious level. Someone may have an intense desire for another persons love, power, or sexual or psychic energies, and unconsciously create a cord that allows them to take these energies. However, there are also individuals that know exactly what they are doing and consciously take energy from others for their own benefit.

I have come across three types of negative energy cords which I refer to as pull, push, and two-way energy cords.

Pull energy cords are one-way cords where the energy is strictly being taken from the individual.

Push energy cords are also one-way energy cords that allow one person to drain their negative energies, such as anxiety, fear, and other negative emotions, into another person to relieve themselves. Some people also use these cords as conduits to energetically attack another person.

Two-Way energy cords are the ones usually created at an unconscious level. If one person is toxic and the other is sensitive or empathic, the latter may develop anxiety or depression from these cords. I see these cords all the time with clients following a relationship break-up; the cord originates as a healthy heart-to-heart cord between the two partners but, after the break-up, the cord becomes “unhealthy” or “toxic” and may even shift to other parts of the body. (I highly recommend getting these relational cords cut before jumping into a new relationship)

To provide a visual, a one-way energy cord is kind of like a garden hose but instead of water flowing through it, different types of energies/emotions flow through it.

While negative energy cords sound awful, remember that all of this is happening at a subconscious level. In some cases there may be someone consciously attempting to steal your energy but, in most cases, it is likely a subconscious energy attachment that supports them while draining you.
